P.E.

Our K-6th Grade Physical Education class is designed to help children build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and a lifelong love of movement! Through age-appropriate games, sports, fitness challenges, and creative activities, students will have opportunities to develop both physical skills and important social-emotional skills. Each class will encourage students to try their best, encourage others, practice good sportsmanship, and discover ways to make movement fun. Activities will be adapted to meet students where they are developmentally, allowing younger students to focus on foundational movement skills while older students develop more advanced sport, fitness, and teamwork skills. Students will participate in activities such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking, balance challenges, cooperative games, relay races, fitness activities, and introductory team sports.

Meet the Teacher

Addy Stupka

Hi! I am Addysen, and I am excited to be the Physical Education Teacher at Rise Academy! I am the Preschool Foundations teacher at Rise Academy, a fellow homeschooling mom of three, & a head soccer coach for Sporting Kaw Valley! I love helping young athletes develop their skills while learning some of the more important lessons that sports can teach- teamwork, perseverance, communication, confidence, and good sportsmanship. As a PE teacher, my goal is to help students discover that physical education isn't just about being the fastest or the strongest. It's about moving your body, trying new things, encouraging your teammates, and finding activities you genuinely enjoy. I am so thankful to be part of the Rise Academy community and can't wait to move, play, learn, and grow with your students!
