Meet the Teachers
Mackenzie Ellsworth
My name is Mackenzie Ellsworth and I am a Kindergarten teacher here at RISE! I LOVE helping students find joy and confidence in writing. This will be a supportive environment where every student feels encouraged to share their ideas and grow as a writer!
Bethany Lear, RDN LD
Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition with an emphasis on Public Health Nutrition, both from Kansas State University. “With a background in dietetics, blogging, recipe development and business marketing, I bring a real-world
understanding of how writing functions beyond the classroom. I’ve learned that effective writing depends on clarity, creativity and intentional word choice. Writing reflects how God intricately designed us to express His beauty and creativity about our life and our world.”
Outside of class, Bethany enjoys her children’s developing interests, journaling, decorating and baking. Above all, she
treasures time with her husband and four growing children while exploring and discovering new things to do and places
to go together.
