I am incredibly humbled and grateful to serve at RISE Academy! It is a privilege to support our teachers, partner with families, and foster an environment where students can grow academically and spiritually. My faith in Jesus and my family are what give my work deep meaning and purpose! I’m married to my best friend, Skyler, and together we have four children who bring us so much joy and keep us on our toes! It is our greatest goal and delight to raise them to know and follow the Lord.

 

Having been born into a family of educators, the art of teaching and “training up a child in the way they should go” has been both a cherished part of my upbringing and a calling on my heart from an early age. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from KSU (Go Cats!) and received my Master’s in Teacher Leadership shortly after. Over the years, I’ve taught grades K–3 and I truly love those foundational years!

 

After the birth of our second child, I stepped away from the classroom, trusting that God had a beautiful plan for my future—both as a mother and as an educator. He was so faithful! During that season, I was invited to help launch what is now RISE Academy and I remain in awe of all that God has done since!

 

It's such a blessing to be able to homeschool and disciple my own children while also using the gifts God has given me for the growth of our school community. What an honor it is to witness all that God is doing through this ministry. To Him be the glory!
