1st Grade

Jennifer Monaco

If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach them well. Romans 12:7. I am a follower of Christ and want to serve him. I began my secondary education at Hutchinson Community College. I then went on to graduate from Kansas State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I also received my Master’s Degree in School Counseling K-12 from Fort Hays University. I have taught Kindergarten, 1 st grade, 2 nd grade and 3rd grade. I have been teaching for 33 years, beginning my teaching career in Oberlin, KS for the first 15 years. This is where I met my sweet husband, Thaniel. We will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in September. We have two wonderful children, Madison and Lawson. Our family moved to Manhattan in 2006 where I started teaching 1 st grade at Amanda Arnold. Teaching children to read is one of the most
rewarding parts of my job, combining it with teaching God’s word will be an incredible opportunity! I will be retiring from USD#383 in May and after much prayer, God has revealed my next chapter. I am thrilled be joining an amazing group of people at RISE! Teaching is my passion and I cannot wait to see how God’s plan plays out!
