Baking/Decorating
In this fun and creative elective, students will learn the basics of cake and cookie decorating while exploring their God-given creativity. Through hands-on activities, students will practice piping techniques, design colorful treats, and build confidence in the kitchen.
Each class includes a short faith connection, helping students understand that God is the ultimate Creator and that their talents can be used to bring joy and serve others. Students will decorate cookies, cupcakes, and mini cakes while developing patience, creativity, and attention to detail. Students will learn basic cake and cookie decorating through fun, hands-on projects. Each class includes a simple faith connection, encouraging students to use their talents to create and serve others. This class is for Kindergarten-6th Grade!
9:00-10:00 AM: 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade
10:15-11:15 AM: 2nd & 3rd Grade
11:30-12:30 PM: Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Meet the Teacher
Breah Butler
I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife, and a mom to our sweet girl! My family and I live on a 26-acre farm south of Manhattan, where we enjoy the simple country life. In my free time, I love spending time with family, hiking, doing puzzles, and creating beautiful baked treats in the kitchen. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and my Master’s Degree in Special Education from Emporia State University. Over the past 13 years, I have had the joy of teaching students in special education, first grade, and kindergarten. In 2023, I took a leap of faith and joined the RISE team, and I feel incredibly honored and blessed to be part of such a special community. In addition to my background in education, I am also the owner of B’s Sweet Treats, where I get to combine creativity, detail, and a love for baking through custom cookies and desserts. I am so excited to bring both my teaching experience and passion for baking into the RISE Electives program through Baking & Decorating classes. My hope is to create a fun, encouraging environment where students can build confidence, learn new skills, express creativity, and make sweet memories together. God is so good!
