Programs

Currently at RISE Academy, our programs provide learning opportunities for children from PreK to 2nd grade. Our future desire is to add on through 8th grade. Our programs are designed to offer children opportunities to grow academically, socially, and cognitively while infusing the light and love of Jesus.

Pre-School Curriculum

Animated-Literacy is a highly motivating, multisensory approach to beginning reading, writing, and oral language instruction. Animated-Literacy provides explicit, systematic instruction in foundational skills while also incorporating language acquisition and brain research on memory, movement, emotion, motivation, and creativity. Students will be engaged through stories, songs, actions, directed drawings, and more!

Math - The Moffatt Girls

Math should be fun, hands-on and engaging for preschool age students! This complete and comprehensive Preschool math curriculum will cover age appropriate skills in a variety of ways. Topics covered range from numbers, classifying, sorting, comparing, patterns, shapes, and measurement!

History/Science - Tapestry of Grace (Primer)

Tapestry of Grace uses unit studies that follow human history as God has authored it. This curriculum is classical in its approach as it embraces the child development process by covering topics at different learning levels so that all family members can study together, but at their own levels. This program will be utilized in 2 year cycles taking students on a historical journey starting at creation all the way through to modern times! Through this Christian curriculum, it's our hope that students will understand who God is, as He has described Himself in scripture, and as He has consistently acted throughout history. Beyond history, we at RISE have taken the geography and history components from this wonderful curriculum and have also created aligned and age-appropriate science lessons for each grade level Pre-K-2nd!

Biblical Truth - Foundation Worldview

This series lays the foundation for seeking truth in all aspects of life, with the goal of helping little ones see that everything we find in the world around us aligns with the worldview presented in Scripture. Each lesson involves a lot of body movement and repetition, designed to meet students where they are at developmentally while stretching them to think through foundational worldview truths. We want our RISE students to learn how to think critically, seek God through Scripture, and stand firm in sharing His Truth with a world that desperately needs it!

Kindergarten-2nd Grade Curriculum

Language Arts: Logic of English (Foundations)

Logic of English is a comprehensive phonics-based language arts curriculum covering phonics, reading, handwriting, spelling, reading comprehension, dictation, etc. This evidence-based curriculum engages students through various activities & learning styles and teaches the rules of phonograms and their sounds in an explicit and systematic way. The goal behind “Logic of English” is to give students (and parents!) the tools and understanding necessary to “crack the code” of the English language. Students need this type of foundation to set them up to be strong, successful readers!

Math - BJU Press

BJU Press equips students to master foundational math skills through hands-on manipulatives and sequential teaching that lead students from a concrete to an abstract understanding of mathematics. Strategic practice and review build computational fluency and prepare students for authentic learning as they connect math concepts to everyday life and Godly truths & principles.
